Re: Los Angeles Belgian Brew Challenge
If anyone is interested I would be willing to drop entries off at Steinfillers since I work across the street from their shop. You could bring to the Feb 17th club meeting or arrange to get them to me in Fullerton before March 4th.

Re: National Homebrew Competition Continued...
If anyone is interested I plan to go to San Diego on Saturday March 2nd and would be willing to drop off San Diego entries at Alesmith that day. You can bring your entries to the club meeting on Feb 17th or figure out how to get them to me in Fullerton after that date but no later than Friday March ...

Re: National Homebrew Competition Continued...
FYI
Even though my AHA account shows BrewCommune, this was not transferred to the NHC information - so be sure to check your profile on the NHC page where you register your beers and make sure you add BrewCommune under the club section.

Re: BrewBrawl moving forward
I like the idea of scoring/rating our homebrews but also feel that the active conversation is the best part of sharing. As a club member I seek feedback, good and bad. Most of all I want honesty. Does Brewbrawl encourage discussion or detract from it? Maybe use BB just to provide a score (no comment...

Re: Pressing Apples for Cider
I'm going with a presser. One of the guys that works at Steinfillers, Gary, will loan me his.
Appreciate the info on the garbage disposal/laundry chute idea, but I'd likely electrocute myself. And then someone might feel bad for a day.

Pressing Apples for Cider
Have an opportunity to acquire around 100 pounds of local apples. I have made cider before but only from store bought apple juice. Does anyone have equipment (a presser?) that can be used to quickly extract the juice from these apples? Even tips or sources on how to make good cider with apples would...

Re: BrewBrawl Update
Well, I did get first place in our inaugural Brew Brawl back in January (?), then a 3rd place finish in July I think. Is that 4 points rather than the 1 point score for me?
Granted there were only 2 beers in the Jan Brew Brawl, but still .....or was Jan just a test run?

Stone 22nd Anniversary Fest
Just wondering if there is any club member interest in Stone's 22nd Anniversary Fest. Takes place on August 18th at spacious CSU San Marcos. I've gone twice in the last 5 years and they really do put on a good show. I'm seriously considering the $99 ticket. Drive down Saturday morning, Uber to/from ...

Re: Buellton, CA Breweries Suggestions
I just go straight to the Barrelworks room at Firestone. That's because I am a big fan of wild ales, sours, and the like. If you are driving up there I highly recommend stopping at the Brew Lab in Carpinteria. Great nanobrewery. Tasting room hours thursday 4-9pm friday 4-10pm saturday 2-10pm sunday ...

Asheville/Charlotte North Carolina Breweries
I am traveling to the Asheville/Charlotte area end of March/Early April.
I am planning to visit local breweries. I have a big list.
Wondering if any club members have visited that area and if any breweries stood out.
Awesome craft beer bars as well.
Open to any recommendations that you have. Thanks.
