Off-month club meeting - BRC Club Project @BRC Tuesday, 4/16 7PM
Hi Everyone, We're having an off-month meeting on Tuesday, 4/16 at Brewing Reserve of California. This will be to meet and share what we all made with the wort we brewed there back in January. Looking forward to everyone sharing their final brews from that project! Brewing Reserve of California 2930...

Super helpful, thank you! I have it set up for the Brewzilla 35L, I'm not sure if it is factoring a more aggressive boil off rate maybe? If I lower the DME to compensate it brings the vitals more in line with your recipe.

Calvin - I tried to translate your recipe to Brewfather, does this look right?

The vitals are pretty wild.

Seltzer Recipes
I'm thinking of making a hard seltzer for my next homebrew project. I found this recipe online: https://www.northernbrewer.com/blogs/kombucha-and-beyond/how-to-make-hard-seltzer Anyone have any experience or recipes to share? I want to make my own flavor/syrup and my plan was to transfer some of the...

I believe the plan is to get together for an off-month meeting next month so we can all see what was made. Don't knock yourself out to make it by next week.

Re: Club Commercial Brew Project
My beer from this project is coming along. IMG_1412.jpg After I got home with the wort from Brewing Reserve, I made my own base, hoping to transform it into a hazy IPA: 1.5 Gal distilled water 2 lbs Light DME .5 lbs wheat DME Heating to 170F for 10 min. then doing a hopstand with Simcoe and El Dorad...

I have another event earlier so I can't make it by 6:30 but I plan to come late. I'll bring some homebrew.

Club Commercial Brew Project
Hi everyone! Our club is doing a pretty cool project that we are opening up to the public if you would like to participate. The event date is Sunday 3/3 . Our friends at Brewing Reserve of California have graciously allowed us to do this on their commercial brew system at their brewery. The goal is ...

Free homebrew equipment
Hello! I recently came into some free homebrewing equipment and I'd like to find it a good home. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to get into homebrewing. The offer is open to anyone, not just club members. In fact, I suspect most club members already have better equipment, but...

Re: Club Brew project
Those all sound like great options!
Some funky Belgian yeast or even that "frankenyeast" from white labs might be a fun experiment.

Club Brew project
With our upcoming club brew project over at BRC, I wanted to start a post to share what we all plan to do with the wort we take away from the day. My plan is to take the wort, add DME to bring it up to about 1.070 OG, and heat it up to 170 to do a hop stand with simcoe and citra, and dry hop with si...

Re: BrewPi Build
Cool, no problem! Some of the components are cheap and only come in bulk, so we will have extra if anyone is interested now or in the future. Quick update, this is the guide we will be following, which is a bit simpler than the other one: https://www.brewpiremix.com/brewpi-hardware/ And this is the ...

Re: BrewPi Build
Greg has built one and has offered to guide us to building one like his. I'm not sure of all the specifics but it would be similar to what is shown here: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/a-brewpi-remix-build.687390/ At a high level you need a raspberry pi, an adruino hero board, a 2 channel rela...
