Re: Turkey Fryer
I figured I would miss the January session... just my luck... but I had my own brew day (s). I made a Columbus IPA on Sunday, and a Cream Ale (to try to make the apple flavored beer) last night. One advantage to extract brewing... it only takes an evening. In reference to this thread (Turkey Fryers)...

Well, considering how difficult it is becoming to find the apple extract, I might have to give the candy a shot...
Speaking of shots, I was also thinking of using Apple Pucker or Bad Apfel for the flavor.
I guess I will just have to do some experimenting... in the name of science, of course.

Re: How to make fruit beer...
I'm also interested in making an apple beer. Not so much an apple cider or cyser, but a beer with a hint of apple. I haven't seen many commercial forms of this, so I'm not sure if there isn't much of a market for it, or if the end result tastes more like a road apple... I was going to go simple and ...

Re: Custom Labels
Yeah, the removal of the labels isn't so easy. I put labels on beers that I was giving away as favors for a wedding, so I didn't get most of them back. I did have some extras that I labeled, and I had to soak them in hot water just to get the main part of the label off. I ended up putting different ...

Re: Custom Labels
I've made a few labels for special occasion brews. I used some Waterproof labels that could be printed from a laser printer. You can find them here: http://www.onlinelabels.com/ol500.htm I had to "borrow" some toner from my office, since I don't have a color laser printer. I tried Kinko's,...
