Re: DHoke now has a little Hoke

That explains why you had to move the brewery to Laguna!

Congratulations Dustin!

Do you have to bake it every time, or just before the first time you use it?

Re: Kegging, but need bottles for comp.

For as inexpensive as CO2 is, that sounds like a lot of trouble and it makes me think you aren't flushing bottles, either. I tried my new bottle filler tonight to take a beer to a buddy's house. It worked great, but raised a question. I don't see the need for flushing bottles with CO2. If you fill ...

Re: Keg Troubleshooting

I had a few rocky moments when first kegging a few years ago. I think I have done all the wrong things. And plastic tubing is cheap if you get beer in the gas line. In the end, I have 2 procedures. Fast and Slow: Fast - Chill the beer in the keg for at least 24 hours. Set gas to 40 PSI and shake the...

Re: New sparge ring

This is yet another piece of equipment that I have overlooked for my AG brewing. Luckily I have plenty of beer and don't need to brew right away, so I can sit around and ponder these things.

Eric - can you explain the strainer aparatus you use?

Re: I'm upgrading!

Chrsi, I'm actually brewing my last extract batch today as a sort of send off. I wanted to brew the beer that I think was the best I ever made to submit to the Addison Extract Comp. Brad, thanks for the advice about the first AG batch. A KISS beer would be a good start to dial in my new process. Les...

I'm upgrading!

After 4 years of extract brewing (with some all grain on friends systems mixed in), I am finally graduating! Home Depot Special with a brass ball valve. I have to get the right sized washers to space the ball valve better to get the handle to be on top... details, details... (Notice the "Thank ...

Re: Greetings

Since then Jeremy, Justin (socalcc), and myself have had a couple of brew days that were a lot of fun. Yeah. Since I have yet to take the all-grain plunge myself (as far as my own equpiment, anyway), it has been fun brewing some great all grain beers with you. Especially since we can brew 10 gallon...

Sounds like a plan! I hope Addison has a bottling wand and appropriate sizes bung in stock!
