Re: Corny Kegs Etc

Wow no interest in the kegs at $30? Is that too expensive?

How about 1000ml flasks for $5 each?

Corny Kegs Etc

Hey guys, I'm going to be clearing out some homebrew stuff and wanted to give you guys 1st shot. First round is some corny kegs - I have both ball-lock and pin-lock. Ball locks $30 each, pin-locks $25 each. I'll get a count later today, but I think I have around 10 ball-lock and 4-5 pin locks. All 5...

Re: Keezer collar holes

I would not recommend drilling thru freezer sides The Freon lines run thru it However, you can confirm line location by letting unit run for 5-10 minutes Feel sides and if warm then lines are there I used a soldering iron to melt through the sides from the inside to make sure I didn't hit any lines...

Looks like you had a great time! I was in Germany back in April for work. A whirlwind trip... but I made sure to have some great pints!

Prost,

Re: AHA National Homebrew Competition First Round

I've got two in the Sacramento regional. A US Brown and a US Porter. I expect the porter to do well, and the US Brown to score in the mid-high 30's but not place... it's not quite hoppy enough.

Re: Jockey Box Maintenance

Also, I'd be careful using an air compressor to blow out your lines. The oil from the compressor can and on may compressors does contaminate the compressed air. Which can then contaminate your lines... and nobody likes contaminated beer lines

Re: locally succesfully hops

Two years ago, I had an awesome crop of Willamette (almost 1lb dry off 2 rhizomes), and a smallish crop of Columbus. Last year nothing. I just planted new Willamette rhizomes two week ago and they seem to be doing very well this year.

Re: Daniel's Desert Mesquite Mead

WooHoo more mesquite mead! The honey I used for my mesquite mead came from a stand at a swap meet in Goodyear AZ. Unfortunately the swap meet is gone now, we were out in Phoenix a few months ago and the freeway had expanded to where the swap meet used to be. I believe I used D76 for the sweet mead a...
