Re: Jockey Box

The answer is, it doesn't really matter. Why? Because the volume of co2 you get dissolved into your beer will be the same. You use different pressures at different temps becuase the temp of the beer affects how much co2 gets into solution. However having said that, I do prefer to condition my beer c...

Re: Jockey Box

$125 is a ridiculously good price. That's what I thought too... but no action here and I posted it on the BrewingNetwork's classified forum with no action there either. Go figure. It's looking like Ebay is the way to go. I may try the classified section on B3's forum before resorting to Ebay though.

Re: Jockey Box

Thanks, it is actually a 1/2" hole (it is a snug fit with the high quality beer line). In my experience this is more desirable than a passthrough bulkhead as you can pull all the beer line into the cooler for more compact storage.

Re: High pressure or low pressure burners?

I have three high pressure burners on my stand. Two of the regular turkey fryer style burners and one Banjo style burner. The turkey fryer style burners are kind of loud, but the banjo is whisper quiet, and kicks out some major BTUs. I think the hp burners are more common (B3 and Sabco use them on t...

Re: Does North Orange County need a LHBS ?

Really, I'm not sure. With two of our club members having given it a go and shut down their shops for various reasons, I'd be really cautious.

Re: Newbie Question Re: FG and Secondary Fermenter

Ok, so taking the reading after adding the priming sugar WILL effect your readings, but probably not much. Remember, all gravity readings are is a measure of sugar content. Regarding lowering your FG. I don't think adding more sugar will help. The reason your gravity is not going as low as you want ...

Re: Cooling a 27-gallon Fermenator...

When I helped Patrick move one several years ago (pre Bruery), it was loaded with grease too. I think that is one of the side effects of residing in a commercial kitchen.

Hopefully it cleans up for you John. I wish I had room for a fridge like that.
