Can't make this one. Nursing a torn rotator cuff and I'm all drugged up.

Re: Sabco Brew Magic - 10 gallon All Grain

I'll trade you a goat and 2 chickens for the Brew Magic.

This is a crazy good deal for some lucky brewer. I would consider it if I was looking for a 10 gallon system.

Re: Off Month Meeting - December 21st, 2017

Sorry for the late post guys! Been pretty busy with stuff this month and lost track of time. Whatever. Buying a house and moving is no excuse. :happybeer: I probably won't make this one. Buena Park is a long drive for me. If I do make it, I will bring my Schwarzbier and an IPA (fermented with dry y...

Re: Long Beach Homebrew Festival

Some of us had a discussion about this event and it's "non-profit" claim. Seems kind of sketchy to me.

I might bring my Vienna Lager. I might not. Depends on my mood.

Re: PH Meter

I've been using this Jenco meter with pretty good results. It came with my Sensafe Smart Brew water testing kit. They have it for $129, but you may be able to find it cheaper elsewhere.

Re: 30th Annual Southern California Regional Homebrew Comp

Congrats guys. Nice work.

I judged American Wild Ales and Trappist Ales. Both categories had 2 panels, so we did a mini-BOS for each. Some very good beers.

Intertap faucets

Anyone have any experience with the Intertap faucets? They look cool and the interchangeable attachments are genius.

Thinking about upgrading my kegerator with these.

I did not end up entering anything because I am lazy and didn't have any bottles.

I will be there judging though (inconsistently, of course).

Thanks Justin. I may enter and judge in this one since it's in my back yard.

Re: Club Meeting - September 19th, 2017 7:00 PM

I won't make this one. In fact, I just was reminded that the meeting was tonight. Oops. One thing you might want to cover is that SCHF is May 4-5, 2018. Reservations for camp sites will happen in early November. I will post another thread so people can start letting me know how many sites they want....

Re: Water Adjustment - Which tool to trust?

How much lactic acid are you typically adding? Well, that depends. For a light lager where there is little acidity added to the mash from the grain bill, I am adding about 42ml of 10% Phosphoric acid to the mash of 7 gallons of water and 16 pounds of grain. For Traditional Bock, I am not adding any...

Re: Water Adjustment - Which tool to trust?

I'm still using Bru'n Water. I have had no issues and my pH readings have been as predicted in the tool. If something looks crazy in Bru'n Water when I'm formulating a new recipe, I will use EZ Water as a sanity check.

That's a lot of hops. Not sure if I can handle that much Citra juiciness.
