Re: Blending Mead with Beer in Secondary
i was at that mead day, and have the exact same issue, and got the exact same idea. what i did was take a 1 gallon growler and fill it half way with the underattenuated mead, and another half gallon (a little less for headspace) with a stout i was transferring to secondary that day. i'll leave it in...

Re: Home brew swap website (brewshuffle.com)
it may have been a combined problem....the first time i put ? in the srm category and it said "you must use accepted characters", then i left it blank and it took me to the bad character screen. didn't realize they were separate issues. bjcp.org has a list of their beer style names and num...

Here's a fun idea: how about linking to untappd so that when I create a beer on your site it automatically creates it there too?

Re: Home brew swap website (brewshuffle.com)
I'm finding it essentially unusable on my phone, but that's par for the course on my phone. Ill play w it more when I get home. One quick suggestion: when you "create beer" it doesn't allow you to not know your srm or ABv. You have to put a number there. What if I'm stupid? It Gabe me an i...

Re: Dead yeast help
Wait wait wait. Your original gravity was 1.100? Your gravity right now is still 1.100? What do you mean by alcohol 1%. My hillbilly estimations put your alcohol potential at around 10%abv. And what does. "2.5 sugar" refer to? Has your gravity changed at all from brew day? Would you mind p...

Re: Dead yeast help
It's pretty much the same OG/FG 1.1 Gravity, 1% alcohol, 2.5 sugar. However the taste although the flavor was good the alcohol wasn't there. The last reading was on 11/19 and is sitting in a carboy. So, do I buy another bottle of yeast and add it straight to the carboy? Thanks, John i don't underst...
