Burner needs
So right now I am brewing on my apartment stove. It takes me 1.5hrs to get from room temp to mash temp. (dont ask about getting to boil, it makes me wanna cry) I desperately need a burner/solution for faster heat. My girlfriend got me a gift cert with their burner/stand in mind. Brad also told me ab...

Ya, and I pronounce it "Trub" instead of "Troob", whatever, it only really matters if you care.

Finishing with Brett
Hey all, so today I racked my Saison Rue clone to secondary. Now the recipe I'm using says to finish with Brett. I know that if allowed to go, Brett will finish all the way, and I'm not sure that's the flavor profile I want. Any advice as to how far I should let it go? how to stop it?

Re: Kegerator tripple tap
I have one that will be for sale Nov. 1. It's not in great shape but it works and the tower itself is in good shape with SS faucets. Includes an analog temp controller, chest freezer will hold 6 cornies plus a 5 lb CO2 tank and regs. Does not include tank or regs. It's starting to show a little sur...

Re: How many carboys do you have?
Hey Brad, thanks for letting me look at the setup. What truly interested me though was that 3 tap kegerator. Did you build that? Because i havent been able to find a company that sells a 3 tap, only 2 tap.
EDIT: disregard the question, I guess I just wasn't looking hard enough.

Re: Meet me for a Drink!
Roommate and I are going to the Bruery tonight to celebrate his 24th, we will have about 20 people joining us. Also, if you've seen that artwork that's now up, the artist will be there, if you haven't seen it, it's cool stuff.

Re: Firestone keg. Which type???
Take it in to your LHBS, they will be able to find the replacement for you faster than any of us could. I had to do that with 2 of my kegs i bought second hand. Trust me, you don't want to try and guess. Even better, just take the keg in to the LHBS and have them sell you whichever one fits.

Re: How many carboys do you have?
Those seem like an expensive and space consuming option. $80 for each? And you need one for everything you're fermenting, right? I dont know if I could pull the trigger on those, I would probably have to see how they actually work. The Sanke kits are nice (it's what I use as well), but I'm not sure...

Re: They need to invent a way to send smells
White Labs Saison II, I bought it in the summer and just kinda forgot about it. I needed an excuse to use it instead of throw it out, and my roommate and I like the Bruery

They need to invent a way to send smells
So I made my starter for my Saison tomorrow, and it smells...different. I want to say there's a slight banana smell to it, but I just don't know enough. I hope it isn't bad. I just really wish I could send a smell so someone else could tell me if I messed up. I may also be worried about nothing, aft...
