Re: Polly Alloy PEX Tubing for brewery plumbing
It's been a while and the idea never panned out, but the main concern was a health one. Assuming fittings could be Jerry rigged, I would still not want to put something into a system that was slowly leaking poisons or off flavors into the precious wort.
Re: T shirts
Not quite local (Bay Area/Peninsula) , but a great store just the same.

Hey, thanks for checking in. I'm alive, just busy as hell
Wife and son are back from Japan, and work has been kicking me pretty hard. I'll be in Philippines next week on business. I wonder if they have any interesting beers...

Re: New brewery in Riverside
Also there will be a new Brewery in Anaheim, near the stadium coming soon too. "Noble something" is the name. I heard the two owners used to work for BJ's. I think I met one of the guys involved in this at the LA Count Fair judging last year. I wish I could remember his name. You weren't ...

Re: Unibroue Sample Pack at Trader Joe's
Picked up a pack of the Unibroue yesterday and shared it with a friend. Interesting beers, though I guess I still need to acquire a better taste for Belgiums. Not my favorite style.

Re: Keging and Co2 usage
Thanks again for the info guys. I have had good luck with making friends at the welding supply store near my house. Tell them you make your own beer and they will be very interested and will tend to be very lax when it comes to charging you for things and checking test dates on tanks. I take my gas ...

Re: Keging and Co2 usage
Are you determining this by weight or by pressure? The pressure of CO2 fluctuates wildly. I'm a noob at this. I am determining this by the needle in the regulator gauge. Try places that only exchange CO2 and don't fill it. Take it when they are busy and they probably won't look and just swap you bo...

Re: Keging and Co2 usage
Thanks for all the responses guys. I'm estimating I have gone through about a 1/4 of a tank in 4 days so it definitely sounds fishy. I will check all the fitting again and redue the soap/starsan bubble test. My tank was bought used and was not full to start with so now I am out of Co2 I think and ne...

Keging and Co2 usage
I'm not sure if this is the correct place or if this should go in techniques, but I was wondering how much Co2 should I expect to use during the carbonating process? I have a 5lb tank inside a fridge at 40F carbing 5 gallons of beer at 12psi. As the Co2 gets absorbed into the beer, the Co2 tank will...

So how do you harvest the lil guys up at the top? One long ass ladder? or do you tip the pole somehow?
That looks so awesome though.

Re: Jockey Box
Interesting, thanks for that info.
I'm pretty interested in the jocky box, but just haven't had the time to give it much thought. I just got back home late last night after a weeks business trip to Japan. Will let you know in a couple days after giving it some more thought.
Cheers!
