Re: Best way to bulk store mead
Mead is honey wine. So if you are going by a description that calls it a wine, that is prob what they are referring to. But Chaucers is crap either way. A nice varietal mead is a thing of beauty, and a nearly religious experience. If I'm able to make the meeting on tues, I'll bring a few meads. I w...

Re: Sept. Meeting 9/21/10 7PM @ Addison HB Provisions/Fullerton
I'm unfortunately not going to be able to make any of the club meetings for the rest of the year. I have night classes on Tuesday and Thursday this semester so I'm SOL. Anyways, if the wife and kid, work, and school don't kill me, I'll continue to troll the boards occasionally and maybe even ...

This is really directed at Oskaar, but heck maybe others know as well. Shite, I forgot Lars was a mead dude too. Sorry Lars and anyone else. I find myself wanting to make more mead. My Joe's ancient orange mead from Gotmead.com is pretty damn good, but (after 3 months) is still HOT. SO I want to mak...

Um...Don, the two ladies in the picture might *technically* qualify as Cougars, but I would not count them.

My neighbor and I usually have a pallet or two behind the shop. They are free, just get them before the Pallet collector guys comes and gets them.

Re: AHP competition - August
This was a TOUGH competition. There were a couple of stellar beers and only one "less than perfect" entry. The competiton gets tougher each month so be sure not to miss the next one. Also, the judging scoresheets get better and better. Without further ado, the winners are: 3rd place goes t...

Re: Charlie Talley - Star San
Since I did some research into StarSan,I thought I'd share the info on Iodophor I received recently from a customer: The original article was on BayAreaMashers.org but is long gone. It was reproduced on Angelfire some time back and that is where I found it. Unfortunately, it is blue text on a black ...

Re: Jockey Box - What is better?
I finally bought a jockey/draft box for myself. I bought a 2 tap with 50' of stainless steel coils. I haven't used it yet.
I like them so much I bought some to sell at AHP. $274.95
Now I just need a mid-week BBQ to go to
