Any chance I can see it in person at some point?
Yeah Ryan, I don't have a problem with you coming by to check it out. I'm working from home, so I'm around most of the time. Let me know what works for you.

Here's a couple pics of my chiller. Same basic idea as the link Tony posted.

Interesting article I saw today relating (mostly) to dry hopping and bitterness perceptions.

Ditto what Chris said. Just because Brulosophy posts something about it, doesn't change my opinions, perceptions or procedures.

Re: American Barleywine

4% is a very low evaporation rate. You should be at least double that. Sounds like your burners are starving or not fully combusting the gas that is there. With my BG14 burner (and air injection) I run 11% boil off. On my old rig with the wok burners, I was at 15%. I'm guessing with only 4% you're a...

However, I always have bittering additions in there prior to that. I definitely notice a difference at flameout whi...

It sometimes takes a few days for someone to go in and add you. You're in now.

They must be getting slammed. I'm trying to use their site and it is painfully slow and giving me database errors.

Ditto Brad's comments. Solvang brewing is nothing to go out of your way to try. Fig is decent, but definitely FW is where it's at.

I'll be driving through that area on Sunday heading up to SLO for a few days.

Re: Off Month Meeting - December 21st, 2017

We don't usually do a December off-month meeting because of the holiday party, but since we're not doing the holiday party until January, I like the idea of a pre-Christmas gathering.

I'll be there. Cheers!
