2008 So Cal Homebrew Fest

Post by spkrtoy »

We've reserved a lot of sites at www.lakecasitas.info in B campsite. All have basic hookup's so here's what I remember:
Mike Kessler and Ray b13 & 15
Tim in b18
Lyn's reserved B16,17 & 19.
I have firm commitments for RV's for 2, but have not been re-imbursed for them as of yet, and can wait since we've got 6 months to go.

We do need to firm up our club and what we want to serve from along with all the high-tech stuff we discussed on our old board.

Idea's?
Club bar?
Beers?
Who's going? and camping or RV'ing?
Cheers,
Lyn

Derrin, does Steve want to go this year? If so let me know so I can hold one of the sites I reserved.
RPM, Bob Morris is thinking of going too so that's going to leave 1 site for me and some other campers...
Cheers,
Lyn

Okay, I'm 100% for this (plus at least one, maybe more).

Anyone have a spare campsite reserved, or should I reserve my own?

BTW, I've already planned on brewing 10 gallons for this. Anyone interested in a light belgian ale, and a rye pale ale? Depending on corny space, I might need to borrow a corny or two to cover this, but I can definitely brew it.

Brad, let me know if you need some space at the fest, I've got 3 full sites reserved and they've not been paid for by anyone else yet. We can have 6 tents per site so it's pretty safe to say you'll be covered!

If you need a cornie or 2, let me know I've got 5 or 6 extra lying around my garage.
Cheers,
Lyn

Sure, let me know the cost and I'll definitely take enough room for one tent (maybe 2).

Bob, We're only reserved for Fri. and Sat. night, so if you want to camp earlier, you'll have to reserve for those nights.
Cheers,
Lyn

From the SCHF Board:
Since most of the hook-up sites at Lake Casitas are booked, here are two
opportunities:

The park rangers have released some of the sites they typically hold back
for emergencies. There are around 12 sites remaining, located throughout the
park. Call the park (805-649-1122) for details.

And, two grassy picnic areas near the Festival Site are available for tent
camping. Porta-potties will be placed nearby, and if we fill 50 or more
sites, we will provide a shower trailer for those campers. Sites are
available for $50 for the weekend. For more information and to make a
reservation for these tent sites, go to www.calhomebrewers.org.

See you at Fest!

Here's a map of the "B" campground that shows where we are staying. I also marked where other clubs are staying. The TVHA guys are staying in campground "E" in spots E15, E16, E21, E22, E23, and E24.
