Kudos to Tustin Brewing Company getting a Gold Medal for their Golden Spike. I'm sure Derrin will be there to help them celebrate.

I saw a lot of medals go to Pizza Port in Carlsbad. I've never been there, but now I guess I have to go check it out one of these weekends!

Pizza Port is most excellent and worth a visit every time I head down the 5.

Pizza Port Carlsbad is a common stop for a coworker and I on the way back when we have to head down to San Diego for customer visits... They typically have 10-15 of their own brews on tap and probably 15-20 guest brews. Always an EXCELLENT selection.
My biggest gripe with Pizza Port is the lack of a waitstaff, but I find if you show up before 5 at the Carlsbad location, it's usually pretty easy to find a few stools right at the bar.
