November club meeting

Post by Megastout »

To let everyone know, the style presentation for the November meeting will be 17 B "Old Ale" one of the four under the Strong British Ale category 17.
This style has an interesting history and variation of interpretation through the years.
All beers that will be presented have received a score of 4.3 and above in Beer Advocate.

Also, at the meeting Bob and I, DT, will present the cream ale which we divided up and fermented with 5 different yeasts each in a 1 gallon container in same fermentation chamber. Everything is the same except the yeasts use. We will do a blind tasting to eliminate bias which would occur if there was knowledge of the particular yeast. Should be fun and educational!

Great idea! What yeasts did you choose?

Looking forward to trying those out!
