Can't Wait

Post by backyard brewer »

I have a 30 gallon Blichmann BoilerMaker and false bottom with a Fedex tracking number says it'll be here Wednesday....

I'm going to have to re-engineer my stand and I think a sparge return, but I'll live.

<cough><cough> I don't look so good.....

LOL... I didn't catch that.

And here I thought that my 15-gallon batches were large!

I went that route so I'd start gathering what I need to move to 20 gallon batches. I can't wait to get this thing.

Man, this thing is a work of art! It even comes with wrenches for the fittings. Very nice. Luke was not really a willing model, but for those of you that have never met him, he's a very big 21 months.... He's 36" tall and weighs 30 pounds.

It's a good thing you did not put him in the kettle!

Luke, use the force on Derrin! Making one batch of beer instead of two will give him more time with you!

Nice BB. What'd it set you back?

BTW, on another thread (stir plates) I said if you need my MIG for your new stand, it's waiting to be used.

Now brew some beer!
Cheers,
Lyn

Thanks on the MIG. If I do built a new stand, I'll just have the fabricator at my work weld it this time.

I got it through Brian and got the club discount.

It is very well engineered.

I tried to put him in it, he wouldn't have it.....

Yes it is!

The only comment I have on the Boilermaker series is that the bottoms are not clad or thicker walled. For the money, I'd have thought they'd have clad or thicker bottoms. Still, they are very nice and everything on it is of the highest quality. I've dying to mash with this false bottom and see how well it works.
