Re: IEBC Southern California Homebrew Championship
Cool! I wanted to enter this one last year, but did not get my brews together in time... This time, I'm ready.
Thanks!

Re: IEBC Southern California Homebrew Championship
Sounds like we all need to meet at Main Street Brewery to drop off our entries.

+1 when are you dropping off? I want to see if my sorachi wheat will be good/ready in time so I'll probably be going on the 7th or 8th.BrewMasterBrad wrote:Sounds like we all need to meet at Main Street Brewery to drop off our entries.
I still haven't gotten the request for judges for this one, but I'll probably sign up for at least one day of judging.

Re: IEBC Southern California Homebrew Championship
The 7th or 8th are both fine with me. LA County Fair judging is on the 8th, so if I drop off that day, it will be later in the day. I already bottled most of my beers. The only one I will probably enter that I haven't bottled yet is the Blonde Ale.brahn wrote:+1 when are you dropping off? Reminder... ENTRIES DUE this Saturday, June 8.

Re: IEBC Southern California Homebrew Championship
I'm planning on heading over there on the 8th to drop off my entries if anyone wants to meet up or would prefer to drop off your entries in Tustin rather than Corona.
Re: IEBC Southern California Homebrew Championship
Oh, and bwarbiany, I'm entering the Imp. Milk Stout under our names. I may end up listing your name as primary brewer if I enter something else in 23 also.

Awesome...brahn wrote:Oh, and bwarbiany, I'm entering the Imp. Milk Stout under our names. I may end up listing your name as primary brewer if I enter something else in 23 also.
Do you think it wouldn't fare well in 13F?
Brad
Re: IEBC Southern California Homebrew Championship
It's hard to say. In my opinion it's definitely a better fit in 23 because it's way too sweet to be in 13F. Other judges may see it differently, or if the competition wasn't as good in 13 it might do better there. It's tempting to enter it in both categories.

BrianB and I will be at Main Street Brewery on Sat. around noon to drop off our entries. Anyone want to meet up for lunch?

Can't make it at noon as I will be at the Fairplex in Pomona. I will probably drop them off later that day if I don't get it done tomorrow afternoon.SamIam wrote:BrianB and I will be at Main Street Brewery on Sat. around noon to drop off our entries. Anyone want to meet up for lunch?

BTW - what categories are you entering? It could save me the $6 entry fee!BrewMasterBrad wrote:Can't make it at noon as I will be at the Fairplex in Pomona. I will probably drop them off later that day if I don't get it done tomorrow afternoon.

Re: IEBC Southern California Homebrew Championship
I'm only entering three beers (because I'm lazy). Brown Porter, American Pale Ale, and Munich Helles. I don't think I have anything else bottled.SamIam wrote:BTW - what categories are you entering? Re: IEBC Southern California Homebrew Championship
I've decided to enter... 16E and 28C.
Not sure how either will do. The 16E is the Belgian Patersbier (you guys may have had it at SCHF), which is a good beer but it's likely to be a bit "small" compared to the rest of 16E. 28C is my Apfelwein, and I've never competed in Cider, nor tasted a homemade cider from any other brewer, so I have *no* clue what to expect as far as how I stack up against competition.
So it'll be interesting
