He was a little concerned that I might have been missing my nap time, but I managed.
It was cool to see the brewery and Brad hard at work cleaning the boil pot.
Enjoyed the homebrew brought in by Megastout and the samples from Arizona breweries Brad ...

CO2 20 gal tank
Getting too old to lift this steel tank. Just picked up an aluminum tank.
Steel tank is still in good condition. Needs to be re-certified and filled.
Anyone need a tank? I will donate it to whoever needs it.
I'm in Tustin

Growing Hops
Planted this Cascade hops back in March. Looks like it's going to be a good harvest this July/August.
Looking forward to brewing with hops fresh off the vine.
(I might need some professional harvesting tips from the Sedona Boys)

Re: Marzenale
John, festale was a good name for it.
Could be the official drink for the Festivus holiday
Ctninh, Thanks for the input. The fermenter has been set at a steady temperature at around 65.
I'll be racking to secondary today. Bottle in a couple weeks.

I would really appreciate your opinion.
I'll let you know when the Marzenale is ready.
Marzenale
Decided to brew a Marzen over the weekend , but too impatient to wait for lagering, so, did 10 gallon all grain batch with Marzen ingredients except for the yeast. The yeast used is Safale K-97 German Ale yeast.
I don't think it can be called a true Marzen without lagering so I suppose it should be ...

Colorado Breweries
Just returned from a trip to Durango Colorado. (Rode the steam train)
SKA Brewing was real good. Good pizza too.
During the road trip, we stopped in Ouray Colorado and tried a flight at Ouray Brewery. The beers were fantastic. I don't know if it's the water or what but every beer was top quality. I ...

10th Annual Brew Ha Ha Sept.7
I was surprised to see that the Brew Ha is allowing children to attend this year. (Attendance must be dropping off). I wonder if they will supply any alcohol free beer for the kids.
I'm still going, should be interesting, taking earplugs too.
