Re: Homebrew Sankey kegs
It's pretty easy to open a sanke. 1. relieve pressure 2. remove retainer ring 3. turn and remove spear Search Youtube for "sanke keg disassembly" and you'll see how easy it is. Open it to clean it and then fill it the same way prior to putting the spear back in. How many beers and how man...

I put 7 gallons of hot water (122 deg) and 7 tablespoons of cleanser into keg and waited 1 hour Rinsed then used a bore scope to look at inside...everything was gone and keg was clean Tip: It works best if keg is inverted. Brewers...

Re: Miller's B3 Grain Mill
One thing I noticed in lack of specs...ie: drive shaft diameter
Hand or drill cranking is ok, but motor drive is best

Re: Stainless Steel Carboys
Thank you Maltbarley and LexusChris
If anyone is interested in doing this to your sanke, please IM me
Parts needed are a dedicated corny keg lid as legs are cut down to fit (a warped lids works well)...and maybe some of your homebrew

Re: pH meter
Reviving this thread again...
Does anyone have experience with the ISFET type pH meter?
No wet storage is required plus potentially longer probe life

Re: Stainless Steel Carboys
Stainless steel carboys are definitly the way to go. Only problem, as you well know, is keeping the inside clean.
Here is my solution...add a corny keg lid
BTW, I have some 6.5 gallon carboys for sale

I built a HERMS system about 2 years ago and found some interesting issues
Where are you located? PM me and perhaps we can meet at my place so you can see what I have done

400 series s/s can and will rust if exposed to right liquids
Also look at material thickness...seems very thin to me (.95mm = .037 thick or just over 1/32")
This would not be my first choice for brewing kettles
Just my .02 worth

Re: March/Chugger pump parts
I would also send clear water thru pumps after brewing, but found lots of yucky stuff anyway
