How do these compare to the March pumps, other than the stainless?

Firestone keg. Which type???

Hey everybody, I have a 5 gallon reconditioned Firestone soda keg that I purchased last year. One of the posts leaks at the poppet. I tried replacing the gaskets, but no luck. I was researching the different post styles, and saw that there are several types of Firestone kegs with different post styl...

Re: Orange Cap with Thermowell on Better Bottle

My carboy cap is too small for the better bottle. It barely makes it over the lip of the better bottle spout, and doesn't seal. It just sits on there.

Small spots appearin on brew pot

I have a new brew pot that I have cleaned (with pbw) and did a test boil as I test all of the various connections, etc. Now, I am seeing very small spots on the bottom of the pot. When I run my finger over the spotted areas, I can feel a slight roughness to the surface. Running a wet sponge with dis...

Orange Cap with Thermowell on Better Bottle

Hey brewers, I have one of those orange carboy caps with integrated thermowell. After I cracked the lip of my 6.5 gallon glass carboy, I decided to give a 6 gallon better bottle a try. While assembling my equipment for an evening brewing session this evening, I discovered (oops) that the orange cap ...

Mead?

Continuing with a question from another thread about mead. I haven't tried mead, but I am curious. Where can I pick up a quality representation of mead to sample in OC, either bottled or on tap?

Re: Best way to bulk store mead

Not to hijack the tread, but can you buy mead bottled at bevmo? I have read about people brewing mead here and there, but I have never tried the stuff. Am I missing out?

Keggles

Can somebody recommend a source of used kegs for converting into keggles? I am debating whether to invest in a SS brewpot as my first equipment purchase of my own home brew setup, or to use a keggle. Keggles seem like a popular option among many home brewers, and I like the idea of recycling an old ...

Kegging

Hello brewcommune community, I have had a renewed interest in brewing (after many years), and found this website while researching equipment and other things. I want to keg my own brew to serve from my kegerator, which has sankey couplers. Considering my setup, lack of experience with kegging, and t...
