interesting. I guess at the end they want to find the best brewer not just the best beer submission.
That's very interesting.

Re: CO2 fill

Looks like there are enough places already, but I like going to Mobile Industrial Welding Supply in Anaheim. Very close to The Bruery and the prices are good, though I don't remember them off the top of my head. http://www.mobileindustrialweldingsupply.com/ They're another that fills rather than ex...

Re: CO2 fill

California Tool & Welding, 1st St in Santa Ana. They fill rather than swap, IIRC my last fill there was like $8 but I was filling Argon tanks too. Corner of 1st and like Standard or something. Exit 55 @ 4th, go over the freeway, left on Tustin, right on 1st. Past Grand, uder the RR bridge and th...

Re: Valhalla Table

Wow, that's really too bad. Every time I've been to that little alcove though, I've been rather uncomfortable, kinda like being what I imagine an Occupy event to be. I was really sorry when Luburdis (Scuba) shut down as they were an icon, but such is life.

Re: Chugger Pumps

The price has increased some, closing the gap between them and March. Not exactly. The $149 March pump does not have a SS head. I find these pumps very intriguing and will be very interested in Brent's experiences with them. I meant just from a price standpoint. They were originally like $109 or cl...

Re: Chugger Pumps

Watch the short video clip on their site. It would seem that they've fixed the original issues with better porting, a larger impeller and a larger motor. The price has increased some, closing the gap between them and March.

I wasn't there to taste it, but wheat and oats should be mashed. They won't contribute anything but starch haze when steeped.

Re: wanted; cheap cornies

Sadly I may have a few up for sale shortly. I got zero brews in last year and this year doesn't look much better. With the wife is hounding me to clean up the garage I have decided the brew equipment should probably go... :( Once I do an inventory of what I've got I'll start another t...
