Custom Beer Tap Handles
I was walking around Frank and Sons Collectible Card Show in Industry today and met Scott Cannon (Beer Designs, P.O. Box 7013, Ventura, CA 93006, 866.550.2337 or 805.647.1699, sales@beeravenue.com. I spoke to him before about his recent start into homebrewing. Scott has been a regular at Frank and S...

Re: Red Ale
Eric at AHP has Carared and he recently helped a friend of mine put together a partial mash red ale recipe. It too came out slightly too dark I'm afraid but it's still the closest to a red ale I've come. Good Luck, Rico.

Re: Blending Mead with Beer in Secondary
I know. I first met him at the AHP anniversary party where he was demoing his mead. I presented a couple of my accidental braggots to him, one of which was called "Flight of the Bumblebee." To some, it was too strange, too sweet, and some asked why I would dry hop a braggot with Falconer's...

Blending Mead with Beer in Secondary
Some months ago, I made a 5 gallon batch of mead for the first time with a group of people using about 20 lbs of honey and R/O water. Apparently, that mead is now crystal clear and stuck at 1.070. It tastes way too sweet and under attenuated of course and I've gotten several advices on how to fix it...

Re: Kegerator tripple tap
I recently bought a new 3 tap kegerator from Beverage Factory in San Diego. I drove down and picked it up myself. As you already know, they sell all the parts for making one yourself which will save you $$.

Re: How many carboys do you have?
I am still a beginner partial masher doing 5 gallon batches with extract. I started with a kit from Steinfillers using the 6.5 glass carboy and have been steadily building a carboy farm in my living room. I have three 6.5 gal, one 6 gallon, five 5 gallon, and recently broke one 6.5 gallon glass carb...

Re: Can't disable mobile version of site
Besides the iPad issue, I just prefer the full site on my iPhone. There's dates of each posts and finding older posts which are easier to find on the full site. The mobile site is nice and easier to read on a phone but I like options. (I tell my wife the same thing and she says, no.)

Re: Can't disable mobile version of site
I have complained about this before. I want the option to go on the full site using my mobile device, especially like Brien said, using the iPad.

Re: Brew Pets
I just got home from Omar's Birds by Fran in Cypress. I bought Tiki from that place and they offer free bird grooming for life if you buy their birds. A funny story about my grey is that he/she has consistently gotten the "vapors" the last couple of times I took it in for grooming. The sta...

Re: 1st ever brewers choice homebrew competition
"The Sound of Silence" was and is a great Simon and Garfunkel song. When people stop talking to each other or worst, they become afraid to talk to each other, then we all failed. What's the point of a messageboard if all people do is read and not post. All egos aside, Nick and I have a lot...

Re: 1st ever brewers choice homebrew competition
In yet another analogy, you can't go enter a karate competition after less than a year of training, get your ass handed to you and call bullsh*t on their rules. Their rules and point system are there for a reason and not every karate school trains the same and agree about it but they still enter and...

Re: Asian Tour Bus and the Beer Bible
I've been away too long from this thread and thought maybe I should just end it with a few more photos since summer is winding down and my son is back in school. Anyways, we stopped by the copper mine in Utah on the way home and finally made it back safely....Thanks for indulging me in this thread.....
