Re: BrewCommune x Chapman Crafted
I signed up to volunteer on the competition site but haven't heard anything. The volunteer information also says coming soon. Has anyone heard any details about tomorrow? Is 8am the start time? Thanks for signing up! Sorry for the lack of information on the site! I'll check out what's up with it an...

Re: BrewCommune x Chapman Crafted
That blurb is mostly to explain why so many styles are omitted. This was a new addition to the competition site. I already brewed a beer for this competition and didn't use one of those yeasts. Oh well. You shouldn't have any problems. Chapman said they are willing to work with the brewer to change ...

Looking for a 1/4 bbl sanke keg
Does anyone have a 1/4 bbl sanke keg sitting around they don't want? I wanted to try fermenting in one.
They are the 7.5 gallon ones. I'd prefer a short/wide one over the skinny ones.
Thanks!

Re: Survey - Packaging Beer
I do the PRV purge method but from those charts I guess that's not doing anything for me! I voted for closed transfer PRV purge but I do that and open transfer PRV purge depending on batch size (different fermenters) For those that sanitizer purge. How much CO2 do you go through? Any worrying about ...

Re: BrewPi Group Build Day?
Don't get me wrong, I love the Rpi as it's a great platform for building cool things like Brewpi and Rpints, but so many of them suffer SD card failures. Any program that does logging (e.g. continuous writes) will eventually cause the Pi to fail. Ah ok, that makes sense, I'll have to get a spare SD...

Re: BrewPi Group Build Day?
Comparing it to other controllers I've used; Seriously? You don't have a BCS to compare it to? I knew I'd get this one  BCS would obviously be the best controller on the market, but the cost is pretty hefty to control a mini fridge. :happybeer: That being said everyone in brewcommune buy a bcs...

Re: BrewPi Group Build Day?
I'll throw in my two cents. I've been using a brewpi for about 2 years now and haven't had any issues. At first I had an old laptop running the arduino but recently upgraded to a rasp. pi 3+. Comparing it to other controllers I've used; Ranco: Had one die on my mid-brew and replaced it via Amazon ne...

I wanted to enter 4 beers but ran out of brewing time since one is a lager.
I'll be entering a hefe, an american lager and a light lager.
