Need high alcohol spirit

Hi all. I had a request to showcase hops in a future meeting. I am checking feasibility. Does anyone with a good palate for spirits know a clean and very alcoholic drink? I want as pure ethanol with no spice notes or solventy characteristics. Yes, it's for research purposes (take that statement as y...

CA Craft Beer summit

https://www.californiacraftbeer.com/craft-beer-summit/

It's in Long Beach this year instead of Sacramento. Beer fest should be good also if you don't want to go to the conference/expo. Anyone thinking of going?

If you are a CHA member, use the code CAhomebrew10 at checkout for 10% off.

Re: May Club Meeting. Towne Park, May 21st, 7-10 PM

See you all there. I may suggest to bring a spare tasting glass to have a beer and unhoped malt side by side tasting. I don't know if they'll supply us with excess glasses. Take a look at Munich malts and chocolate malt. Those are 2 easy ones that show up in a bunch of beers. Beer styles will be a d...

Bottle Logic, Week of Logic 2019

Anyone doing this? I got the scroundrel book since it reminds me of my first DnD character. I am trying to collect the pins from different classes. Check Bottle Logic's social media for more info.

Re: White labs

I think it's the labels, not the vials, you need to ship. I shipped labels to get a book in the past. Shipping labels would save you on shipping. The vials can go to recycle. Also, 14 packets?! Either depend on beer for sustenance, brew high gravity batches, or learn starters as resuscitation. That ...

Guess I am going the welding route. Until the end of Feb, I am busy, but I will get in contact when my schedule clears.

CO2 gas regulator knobs

Does anyone know if you can buy gas regulator knobs? I don't want to lift my CO2 tank from my freezer and use a flathead screwdriver to adjust pressures. I am looking into the knob similar to:

Re: BrewBrawl moving forward

Pros: -Increases participation in the group -Fun thing to do -Have an award at the yearly party -I assume it makes it easier to sign-in your beers -I can look back at what people said on the website Cons: -Focus is less on quality of feedback. I can only type so fast. -On the previous note, I don't ...

Re: Pressing Apples for Cider

I think Stein Fillers may have a press for rent. Call first befor showing up.

For cider, my knowledge only goes as far as alcohol, tartness (acid), and carbonation. Are you fortifying the cider or adding flavors? And I approve the use of English dry yeast since I prefer dry ciders.
