Re: Trying to update my recipes w/o current running Beersmith software

Time flies. Glad to hear Wyatt is doing well. Mine are all growed up and out of house. Beware, it's coming for you.

I lost a bunch of old recipes, as well, when I moved away from ProMash. I still have the CD but there are far better apps out there now.

Unfortunately, I've moved down to Dana Point ...

Re: Seltzer Recipes

Hi Ro,
Sorry for not checking in on this one sooner. I did a couple seltzers for the fest last year. the one recommendation I have is to use the Lutra yeast. Very clean without the sulphur you'll get from most other yeasts. While time will fix that, you can almost avoid it altogether.

As far as ...

Re: Club Commercial Brew Project

I started out behind the 8 ball on this one so I took the base as received and boiled for 15 min with Mosaic and then another ounce at flame out. Pitched Lutra and it's tasting pretty good. Hopefully I'll be able to make the meeting.

Hey Partick, glad you stopped in!
Those are super cool and I hope someone raises a hand.

It would be great to see you at a meeting sometime, if you can swing it.

Cheers,
Tim

Grainfather Connect

Hi All,
Trying to reduce my footprint a little and am letting go of my newest Grainfather Connect. It's been used once or maybe twice but is packed (complete) back in the box so it's not much to look at. It's the same system as what you see here: https://www.amazon.com/Grain-Father-ASM-ONI-XUC ...

Re: Looking for a keg for this weekend

Sorry I'm late to this party but I have an extra keg if you still need it.

As far as carbing with priming sugar, you should be fine if you used the right proportion. Probably no more than a 1/2 cup for the keg. the drawback will be the sediment created and you won't have clear beer at the fest. If ...

Re: Just for fun - spot the pro-brewer

Randy was already gone by that point, but he definitely counts as a club success.

Here's who I see:
Tyler (Bruery, Rex)
Jay (The Rare Barrel)
Kevin (Gunwhale)
Brad (Skyland)
JD (Bruery)
Lars (Broken Timbers)

Just for fun - spot the pro-brewer

Rummaging through old pictures on this site, I came across this one from 2009. How many pro-brewers (past or present) do you see?

I count 6.
