Re: BrewCommune T-Shirt Order

Qty (3) of Men's XLT
Qty (2) of Ladies Tank - Small

(You didn't mention XLT but I saw it on the size chart for talls. If it's not available, I'll take XL.)

Re: Buellton, CA Breweries Suggestions

I was only "meh" about Solvang Brewing Company. But if you're headed into Solvang one day for lunch, it's not a bad spot. I just wouldn't expect it to be stellar. Figueroa Mountain is pretty decent--I've been to their Los Olivos location and enjoyed the beers, but haven't been to their mai...

Re: BrewCommune T-Shirt Order

Does the vendor have a size chart for the ladies' tank tops? Need to determine whether S or M is more accurate.

Re: BrewCommune T-Shirt Order

I'd buy two, maybe 3, in size XL.

As mentioned in the other thread on the subject, I think we've been without ladies' tank tops for several years. I know Jess would want one [if not two], and wouldn't be surprised if a few of the other significant others might want them as well.

Re: Lager Fermentation Schedule

I know their FAQ says the Tilt works in SS conical fermenters, but does anyone know if it works in a thicker 15.5 gal Sanke keg? I'd consider getting one if I knew it would work in the Sanke. I essentially never check gravity after the beer goes into the fermenter, so it would be helpful to know whe...

Re: "fast lager" fermentation technique

This one? http://brulosophy.com/methods/lager-method/ I used something close to that on my most recent Ofest and Pilsner, and both came out great. Generally I'm of the opinion that most of the off flavors from fermentation occur early in fermentation, so if you're tightly controlling temp for the fi...

Siebel is only a 20-week full time course...

Sounds like he should know what he's doing, so that makes me even more excited than I would normally be learning a random brewery was opening nearby.

New brewery in Laguna Hills early 2018

Just an FYI: https://sites.google.com/gamecraftbrewing.com/home

Given the proximity, I'll try to give it a try when they open. Anyone familiar with the head brewer (Andrew Moy) or founder (Scott Cebula) from homebrewing / pro brewing circles?

Hangar 24 selling barrels

Selling used barrels from their RIS for $40.

Not sure if anyone wants one for personal use, or if this is a worthy thing to buy for use on another club barrel beer, but I figured I'd pass it along.

Re: 30th Annual Southern California Regional Homebrew Comp

Entered a Dunkles Bock (6C). Got a first place at the recent Pacific Brewers Cup so am anxious to see if there is any consistency in evaluation on the scoresheets. I have some doubts, will see. Will let you know the info after the judeging. Good luck all! Well there is rarely consistency in judging...

Re: 30th Annual Southern California Regional Homebrew Comp

You can also enter #1 as 34A, clone beer. I haven't had any experience in this category though so it may be a tossup for the judges. I think you'd get better beer feedback in the IPA category but you might do better in the clone category. I hadn't even considered the clone category, but then I read...

Re: 30th Annual Southern California Regional Homebrew Comp

I have to get off my a** and get a few beers into bottles, but I plan on entering. Looks like I won't have my hefeweizen kegged in time, and I have 10 bottles, so I have room for 5 entries and only have 4 beers on tap. Here are the beers: 1) Blind Pig IPA Clone 2) Pilsner 3) Oktoberfest/Marzen 4) Bl...
