Stuck Fermentation

Alright guys. Quick question. 10 gallon batch of Irish Stout, pitched 2 vials of Liquid Irish Ale yeast. OG was right on target at 1.046. Target was 1.011. Bubbling only went for a couple days then stopped. Did a reading after about a week and was at 1.023! Not bubbling anymore. Is it stuck? What ca...

Keeping the Fermenter warm enough...

Usually we put our carboys in a chest freezer with temp control to keep from the fermentation temps getting to high. Lately it's been so cold that we are having the reverse problem and I wanted to see what everyone else is doing to keep your beer from getting to cold during fermentation. Thanks! Bra...

Aged 21 years!!!!!!

So here’s the deal… My first child is being born in late May and I have been toying with the idea of brewing a batch in May that I can age for 21 years. About a year ago or so I had a conversation with a few members at a meeting including Oskaar about this even being possible. From my understanding ...

Re: Wanted: Beergun

I paid like $75. It's worth it. I think Stirplates.com needs to design and sell the Beer Pistol. LOL Hey, what about beermarker!? Just kidding, I still don't understand why a paintball gun is called a marker. WTF as if blood doesn't mark someone just as good or better than paint  Oh and...

Re: Fruit flies. I HATE fruit flies.

BrianC uses one of these and if he ever figures out how to post pictures, we might get to see it. Touché! I'll snap a few new pics a little later and put them in my BrewCommune photo album. Awesome! I am really interested in getting a few of these. Do these need to be replaced often because of the ...

Re: Fruit flies. I HATE fruit flies.

There are a ton of options there, I think these look pretty cool. I really don't know my plastics very well, but I think the buckets are polyethylene (HDPE) so even though these are medium density I think they'd be ok. These seem very reasonably priced... Can you modify these to put an on/off flow ...

Wanted: Beergun

Hey There,

I'm looking for a Beergun (blichmannen). Anyone know where I can find a good price on one? The best price i've found so far is $69.99 from Williams.

Also, has anyone had any experience with this? I've heard it's a really nice alternative to a CPBF.

Thanks for any help!

Re: Real kegerators for sale! 25% discount till 3-16-09!

Please, can any admin or moderator, please remove this thread, as my last kegerator's been sold 5-4-09. This part can stay: I do want to sell more of my excess stuff & they're to be listed later based upon interest. Thanks to all here on BrewCommune who let me list and especially to Brandon aka...
