Better Bottle aging question
I just finished an apfelwein that was in a Better Bottle for 5+ years. My concern is if the Better Bottle retains any of the flavors/scents from the cider being in there so long. After a good PBW cleaning there is no trace of the cider. Everything I've looked up only talks about the permeability con...

Re: HVAC folks?
Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Jason Klauk is an HVAC tech for St. Mary's in Long Beach. He knows cooling frontwards and backwards. He's not active on the boards, but he's the dude that brings his motorhome for me to sleep in at homebrew fest :happybeer: Anyway, for future reference if you have any...

Re: Sorry, I have to brag
Thanks guys. You know Brad, I don't know why that connection never jumped out at me before and how that would be right up your alley.
For those that are thirsty, Legends Brewing, Backstreet Brewing, Hoparazzi, Unsung Brewing and Golden Road should all be opening their doors this year in Anaheim.

A little love for Anaheim's beer enthusiasm.

Sanke kegs and fermenter kit
I've got two Sanke kegs and a Brewer's Hardware fermentation kit with thermowell for sale. I won't be in the business of making 10-gallon batches in the near future, so they must go. For club members I'm asking $50/keg and $60 for the fermentation kit. It needs a gasket. Email is best at gsktdk(at)g...

Re: Long Live the Queen - Beach City Brewery
This is intriguing and I may have to find my way down there for this one. I'm a little confused on the braggot part though. I see conflicting definitions of braggot online, but the consensus is that it's mead and beer, with the majority being mead. I doubt they made mead and then blended it with bee...

I have to be at a City Council meeting that night and will miss the meeting. The upside? I'm defending a liquor license approved by the city.

I have had discussions with the organizer for this one about bringing it to Anaheim. I was hoping to go, but won't be able to.

Family conflict that night, bummer. I may be able to join you all late if the party is still going on.
Re: O-RINGS
The weldless bulkhead fittings Derrin has worked great for my tad-too-large hole I drilled into my kettle. I know you asked specifically about o-rings only, but if you don't find a good fit, these might help. http://www.brewershardware.com/Weldless-Fittings/
