Re: WIN a FREE T shirt
I sympathize with your concerns about getting untried recipes from the internet. If you want a very reliable, time-tested set of recipes, I would recommend you use the recipes posted with the kits at http://www.northernbrewer.com/brewing/recipe-kits/extract-kits?limit=all I’ve used a lot of them and...

Re: How to cut a keg using a sawzall video on Youtube
Stupid question: If the lid and opening start out at the same diameter, and you grind both, what keeps the lid from simply falling through when you use it?

Re: Tandem Double Ale clone - Pike Brewing Co.
... Drew Cluley, head brewer, states in the article, "I'd recommend about 6 or 7 coriander seeds be crushed & added for the last minute of boil. Although this may seem like a miniscule amount, a touch of coriander is all that is desired."... 6 or 7 seeds sounds just goofy. Makes me do...

Looking good. I assume you're still in Beta -- not getting all of the pictures (e.g. http://www.brueryprovisions.com/-Califo ... p_375.html#) -- tried in both IE8 and Chrome3.

Re: Seattle brews
If you are going to the Eastside (Woodinville) to visit Redhook, you should make a few stops while you're there: (1) Mac and Jack's African Amber, the finest amber ale in the area (similar to Manny's) -- a warehouse brewery in Redmond; (2) Black Raven Brewing in Redmond -- a pub; (3) Malt and Vine i...

Re: I'm New to Orange County
Thanks for all of the suggestions -- I'm slowly working my way through the list. Town & Country was mostly a disappointment -- my old Albertsons back home had a bigger selection -- but at least I could find Blind Pig there, as well as local brews from Bootlegger and The Bruery. The prices, howev...

Re: Wanted: Propane Burner
Althought a bit more $$$, a high-pressure burner like this may be better for the 60 qt. boil keetle you have. http://www.williamsbrewing.com/images/product_images/thumb_images/E53.JPG Although it comes with a propane tank connector, it does have attachable legs which raise the burner height to 23&q...

Yeast from The Bruery?
A lot of the microbreweries in the Pacific NW will provide their house yeast to homebrewers in quart/Mason jars on request -- you provide them a clean, sanitized jar, and when they crop the yeast from the fermenter they fill up the jar and leave it for you in the cooler to pick up. Will The Bruery d...

Wanted: Propane Burner
The stove is just not cutting it -- moving my brew kettle outside. Anybody have a used turkey-fryer style burner available for sale? Ideal would be a high-pressure burner with legs, like they sell at Northern Brewer, with a hookup for natural gas outlet.

Recipe for Brad's excellent IPA?
Nice meeting all of you last night. Lots of great beers.
I particularly enjoyed Prez Brad's IPA, and was wondering if you could share the recipe with us?
