I bought the various ingredients from ebay/amazon and made a batch of home made pbw. I have a home depot bucket full of the stuff now.
Roughly used these ratios:
Sodium Percarbonate 35%
Sodium Carbonate 20%
Trisodium Phosphate 28%
7th Generation dish powder 17%

Help with mash tun
I have a keggle with one of these installed: http://morebeer.com/view_product/19807//Weldless_Mash_Keg_Conversion_-_Stainless I at first had some issues with the false bottom slipping off of the pickup tube but I fixed that with some tubing/hose clamps. I had 3 successful brews with it but my last b...

Re: Paintball Co2 tank for kegging
I was thinking of doing this because not only would the paintball tank be handy for bringing kegs with me but I could also use them for my aquatic plant setups. Do any of you guys refill them with your larger tanks? If so, how do you do it? I found this refill kit: http://cgi.ebay.com/CO2-Tanks-Cyli...

Re: Stir Plate Build
Hard drive magnets work great.. sounds like you just need to adjust the spacing a little.
I made one out of a computer fan with a 3 speed adjuster, a hard drive magnet, a small box and some duct tape and it works awesome..

hopefully it works out..
How do you clean after each use? Just cycle through some PBW for 10min or so?

Re: Kegerator Questions
I bought a refurbished Kenmore 8.8 cu chest freezer from the sears outlet for $250, added a collar and 4 faucets. Doesn't take up much space in my garage and it fits 6 cornies (perhaps 7 but i haven't tried yet.) I was keeping a 5lb co2 tank inside the freezer but I just recently drilled a hole and ...

Re: Kegging help
I will try some teflon tape but the regulator is very tight against the bottle. I'm not sure what good looking for leaks would do since I already know where it's leaking from.. It's venting directly from the cobra tap on the tank. Does this mean I have a faulty tank? I should be able to open the tan...
