Re: Grand Opening! May 22nd - Saturday
I'm judging at the Hangar 24 competition as well, so I won't be able to be at the Grand Opening. Depending on when we finish, I may try to make it over the store. If any of my beers win, I may just stop by to brag a little. I have two entires - you can just bring my ribbon with you on Saturday :win...

Jockey Box - What is better?
What is better? A 50' stainless steel coil or a cold plate?

Re: Grand Opening! May 22nd - Saturday
Any chance I can borrow the club Jockey Box for the Grand Opening? The one I ordered is still on backorder. I have 3 1/2 full kegs to share. Anyone is welcome to bring their beer, bottle are OK - I'll have a tub of ice water for them.

Re: WLP029
WLP 029 is a top fermenting Ale yeast. I used it in my Kolsch at the last meeting. Never tried the Wyeast. Fermented at 68 for a few days, then down to 65.
No special instructions on the bottle, but I would go colder. I'm going to try 60 on my next batch and see what it does.

Whatever is easier. I have Beersmith and Promash. Thank You.BrewMasterBrad wrote:I have some from back in the day. What format do you want them in?
When you say back in the day, do you mean "when I was learning"? I'm looking for recipes that people would be happy they paid for.

We'll be starting at 10am and brewing until 5pm or later.Haemon wrote:Well... I'm headed there tomorrow but it'll probably be a slow day, not as busy as the 22nd. Still, I'll be able to make it out to your shindig for a few hours most likely. When did you say the demo on the brew sculpture was going to be?

Re: WIN a FREE T shirt
I only have one extract recipe that's worth anything, but: 1) It's not original (clone of SNPA called High Sierra Pale Ale , which I converted to extract) 2) I don't have time/inclination to brew it right now. But I can send you the recipe if you want it. It's proven, as I brewed & kegged it, t...

Re: May Meeting 5/18/10 @ Addison HB Provisions in Fullerton
Hey Eric! It was good meeting you yesterday (this is Marshall). I've been talking to more of my friends and trying to get them out for your party on the 22nd but you should know that the 22nd is the last Saturday of Renaissance Faire. A lot of Fairegoers are homebrewers so I'm sure you'll be seeing...

Re: WIN a FREE T shirt
Chris, thanks for jumping in. The only "limitation" is it must be extract (specialty grains are expected) and you must give me the recipe. Other than that the field is WIDE open. This is a fun competition. No stress. Very little formality. It is PERFECT for people who are new to comps and ...

I will say that beers brewed to the higher end of gravity and IBUs for any style in question seem to do better in competition. I hope that helps.
