Re: Head First
turns out we had much more than beer in common That's kind of scary, actually. Hey Now!!! :) Congrats on your successful brew days. When you first posted that you were diving right into 10 gallon all-grain, I thought you might be taking on too much, but it appears you did your homework and...

Mead Prices
The Buena Park farmer's market has 12 lbs of honey (Orange blossom, sage, and something I can't remember) for $40. Is that a good deal?
Where do the mead guys get their honey?
Has California's bee loss, inthe past couple years, raised prices?

Re: Winter Solstice Brew recipe commentary
Novice brewer here. Flubbed up my mash temps today. Worried about the rain clouds, I spontaneously decided to move into the garage for the 1st time. In between setting up folding tables, etc. I forgot to put my strike water in the tun first, and ended up doughing in ontop the grains in a col...

Homebrew and Headaches
I have two friends that claim they get headaches after drinking beer that I made. I read this article: http://weeklywire.com/ww/01-04-99/tw_chow.html which says that fermenting at too high a temp or not storing the beer cold can produce Fussel alcohols that can cause headaches. That sounds like a go...

Re: Does North Orange County need a LHBS ?
I voted yes to the poll, purely for selfish reasons. :) I liked being able to stop in on short notice & buy supplies for the weekend brew. --lexuschris This is my point for having a LHBS. Having siad that I just don't know if there is enough business to support one. B3 has great prices and free...
