Howdy everyone, it's James Paul

Post by james601 »

Yeah, I used to brew back in the day. You guys remember me?

I hope everyone is doing well.

Anyway, I have not brewed in some time (although I just bottled a cyser that was sitting around for a few years that turned out great).

My brewing equipment is just sitting gathering dust. Does someone want to take it off of my hands at a reasonable price? I don't want to list all the details here because this is not the classifieds forum, but I can't seem to post in the classifieds forum.

Unlike last time when I offered my wares for sale, it's FOR REALS this time. I've been taking pictures of the goods today to place on craigslist, but I'd rather let you fine gents have a crack at it first. I'd be willing to part out, but not piece by piece.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

Hey James,

Sorry to hear you are selling all your gear, but thanks for giving us first crack at it. Only paid members can see and post to the classified forum, that is why you can't see it. I would suggest that anyone that is interested in purchasing from James send him a PM to see if he has what you are looking for. That way we don't clog up the public forum and start bidding wars.

I still have more equipment available if anyone is interested.

Eric and Rob grabbed some of it but there is plenty of good stuff left.

I don't want to put up a list here because this is not the classifieds, but if I were given permission I could post a short list and then anyone interested could PM me.

Thanks.

No problem Eric. Glad to hear it's being used again.

I guess i'll just put the rest of it up on Craigslist and if anyone is interested they can check there.

I don't want to piss off the mods, but i've paid my dues in the past...one year I paid and I didn't even get a damn t-shirt. So hopefully they'll let this one slide...

This is what i've got left for sale:

15.5 converted keg kettle with ball valve
50 foot copper wort chiller w/ all the tubing and fittings
25 foot copper wort chiller
Sump pump (so you can pump ice cold water through the wort chiller, very nice!)
2 reconditioned (but not necessarily clean), 5 gallon corny kegs
Barleycrusher malt mill w/ crank handle and brush

Buncha extra stuff:

2 bottling buckets
Huge bottling tree
Avinatore (for sanitizing bottles)
Bench capper and butterfly capper
Dual bottle bottle washer
Refractometer, hardly used
Bottling brushes
Plastic wine theif
Extra carboy bungs, spigots for bottling buckets
*Brewing Books
Extra stuff

That's all I can think of. My gear has been kept in top condition. I'm more than willing to split up this gear but I'd prefer not to sell it piece by piece. Willing to give great deals particularly to those buying multple items.

Please don't delete this. It's in the club's best interest to keep this out of the hands of nefarious Craigslist meth makers.

It's cool James, I don't think anyone is going to take your post down (at least I won't). By the way, you don't get a shirt just for joining the club, they cost an extra 10 bucks. You can still buy one even you don't pay your dues!

The discussion about public availability of the classified section has been split to the club Cheers! section.

Yes, there are some forums that only club members have access too. The member forums mostly contain stuff that is only of interest to club members and not of general interest to our wider Internet members.

Hi James, I sent you a PM about your stuff last week and still haven't heard back from you. Let me know if you are still interested in parting with any of it.

Cheers!

I've sent replies to everyone at this point. I've been trying to keep up but have been having trouble logging in to BrewCommune.

If anyone needs to contact me please e-mail me at H0me__Slice at yahoo dot com.

All the stuff that was listed previously is still for sale, although I do have some interested club members. Get it while it's cheap before it goes up on craigslist.

LexusChris came by and purchased the Barley Crusher, refractometer, wine thief, as well as 2 reconditioned kegs I didn't even know I had left.

Thanks again, Chris. It was a pleasure meeting and doing business with you.

Everything else is still for sale.

I snoozed and loozed, but way to go Chris. You'll put it all to much more use than I probably would have. Those were the key items I were interested in as well so James I think I will let anyone else interested take up the rest. Thanks again for looking out for the club.

Cheers!

Most of the items you were looking for are still available, Jon. I sent you a PM giving you one helluva deal on the rest of the items. Keep in mind my prices are negotiable, although you can't go much lower from what I quoted you.
