LA County Fair Comm. Beer results are in and The Bruery's IT

Post by spkrtoy »

Thanks to all who entered on the homebrew side of this comp.
As Style/Comp guru, I have to let all know there was a big winner among us: Let's give huge congrats to The Bruery!!!!
They took 4 golds and 1 bronze in the LA Commercial/International brewing comp!
The best of show came from this category:
WOOD AND BARREL-AGED STRONG BEERS
Gold PORT BREWING CO. / THE LOST ABBEY OLDER VISCOSITY
Silver SPRECHER BREWING CO. BOURBON SCOTCH ALE
Bronze THE BRUERY LEVUD'S ON OAK
For a bronze beer to be in the same breath as Best of Show, it's amazing!
I hope that they'll be able to enter in the GABF to prove their worthy!
Go to http://www.calferm.org/news/2008results.htm and see the heavy hitters they've already de-throned!
Pat, I hope you'll be available for photo ops and a short bio for a brewing magazine article!
I'll try to stop by this Friday for the 1st tasting at The Bruery!
