Hal,
So true about the stewards, I finally had to ask the one who was hovering over my shoulder to move because our table was in the very back and he was blocking my light.
Great showing this year for judges and stewards, otherwise we'd probably have finished around 3 for the 1st round and BOS would have been done the next weekend (like last year's comp).
Nice that you got to sample all the winning entries Hal, and that the lightest beer again won best of show which goes to show that you don't need the biggest, strongest, hoppiest beer but just the best example of the beer according to the BJCP style guidelines. Almost all judges will stick to these instead of their "feeling" on which beer fits it's style the best. Plus lighter beers are harder to make as any flaws will show up and a well made one will come out on top!

Now start brewing for the 2009 season, and make 'em greeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaat!

Anyone get their score sheets yet? It's been three months of nothing. Very disappointing.

I remember last year taking forever, I think I got my results at the end of November for the comp in September. I guess this is worse, and it's certainly going in the wrong direction.

Received scoresheets and ribbons today. The only swag was a shirt.

Belgian Dark scored 40/40, Porter scored 37/33.
