Great Marinade

Post by backyard brewer »

I have a new favorite marinade for beef:

1/2 C Soy Sauce
1/2 C Jack Daniel Whiskey (black label or single bbl, no Gentleman Jack here)
1/3 C Dark Brown Sugar
1 TBS Dark Mustard
1 TS Chipotle Powder (Penzey's Spices)

Marinade for as long as you can stand up to overnight. Drain and cook to liking.

Pour all the remaining marinade into a sauce pan and boil at least 20 minutes to reduce. Add a very small amount of flour or cornstarch to slightly thicken. Serve as BBQ sauce.

All I can say is MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

That does look good. I find myself creating a new marinade everytime I need one (same thing with homebrew recipes!). I have not made the same one twice although all share one thing in common - lots of fresh crushed garlic!!!

Cheers!
