Club Meeting - Tuesday Nov 18, 7PM at Slaters 50/50 in HB
The November 2014 meeting will be held at Slaters 50/50 in Huntington Beach on Tuesday November 18th. Slaters has a separate side room that we will have use of so that we are not in the main restaurant area. We had our July meeting here and it worked out great!
Slaters 50/50 is at 8082 Adams Ave, Huntington Beach
https://www.facebook.com/Slaters5050HB
Meetings are open to all Brewcommune forum members (paid and non-paid). If you are new to Brewcommune, please come out and introduce yourself. If you haven't been in a while, please come back.
We will again be having a style presentation at this meeting. If you have homebrew you wish to share and discuss, please bring that with you.
Some items of discussion at this meeting will include the upcoming board member elections, the (members only) holiday party and next year's SoCal Homebrew Festival.
Please post a reply here if you plan on attending!

Bump for next Tuesday's meeting.
FYI - Slater's had double booked the private room for a team sports banquet so we are moving to the front patio area. There will be heaters outside, but you should also bring a jacket.
To help make up for their double booking, they will also be providing some appetizers and the beer for our style presentation.

BrewCommune Meeting Notes
Meeting notes from November 18, 2014 at Slaters 50/50 in Huntington Beach
15 in attendance
Discussed
The results for the 2015 election are out are here they are:
President: Jon W (JonW)
Vice President: Tony B (Maltose Parrot)
Secretary: Tim R (Blackcomb)
Treasurer: Sam B (SamIAm)
Style Coordinator: Chris L (LexusChris)
Chris took a moment to thank everyone for voting, and reflected on his tenure as our club president.
SCHF has an NEW official home (Temecula area) and with that there are several new 'rules'. The first one being that when you purchase your ticket, you must first purchase a membership to ACHA. Any person buying a ticket (spouses or friends included) MUST be a member to attend.
We also got a club barrel brew update. Our rye porter was added to two (FIRST USE!) bourbon barrels in late October. It may be ready in as little as 9 months because of it being a first use barrel.
Holiday party is on December 13th at Chris's house. If you are going to attend please be sure to purchase tickets as this helps pay the costs of catering.
There was talk of possibly putting up a good booth at the annual homebrew conference that is set to kick off in San Diego on June 12th.
Style Presentation
Brad W started our style presentation which was fruit beer, and the pitchers were provided by Slaters. There two examples of this style were:
Refuge Blood Orange Wit
Lost Coast Orange Coast Wheat
Homebrews Shared
Chris L - Club Belgium golden strong
Jon W - Rye porter used for club barrel project
Curtis - Oatmeal Stout
