Guys, my apologies. I totally spaced on tonight and missed out on this. Jon if you can email me over the notes I'd be happy to type it up. Did anyone get down who brought what beers to share?

Too busy for my own good during the day. Serious apology guys, I screwed up on this one.

Hello Everyone,

Attached are the notes from the meeting. (Tim, no worries on not being there. Collecting these notes was very easy as Jon sent me the notes he used and I only had to write down the 5 beers that were brought last night.)

Last meeting was May 17th at Windor Homebrew Supply in Costa Mesa.
Well attended meeting. Thank you to Scott Windsor for hosting us.
Also check out Windsor's meet the brewer events.


June 16th off-month social at Backstreet Brewing in Anaheim.
Very well attended. Great place to meet up and will be a future club meeting.

Paid member-only events:

June 25th Club brew day at Tim Shephard's (Megastout).
Good food, good beer & fun games!

Brent Rahn will be hosting the August club brew day. Date TBD.

OC Brewers Guild Festival on June 11th.
Information slow to arrive, but event was pulled together and ended up being a huge hit.
Brewcommune was 1 of only 2 clubs present with about 30 commercial breweries.
Nice selection of 7 different beers poured from: Tim Reismueller, Chris Longpre, Brad Warbiany, Brent Rahn, Brian Bauer, Sam Babikian/Brian Bennet, Jon W.
Thanks to all those who brought beer and volunteered to pour.

OC Fair competition:
Hussam El-Leithy 1st Place German Wheat Beer C - Weizenbock
Tim Shepard Hon. Mention Trappist Ale C - Trappist Tripel - Honorable Mention
Tim Shepard 3rd Place American Wild Ale A - Brett Beer - 3rd - Tim Shepard
Fred Arias 2nd Place Specialty Beer C - Experimental Beer - 2nd -

NHC Results
Greg Hinton, 1st place in 1st round in Seattle, 2nd place in final round in Baltimore.

Style presentation:
Sam Babikian - Category 8, Munich Dunkel, Ayinger brought as example, and Schwarzbier, Kostritzer brought as example.

Beer brought to share:
Hassam El-Leithy - Dunklen-weizen
Tim Reissmueloer - Wine
Tony C - Witbier with Merlot
John W - Red Rye IPA
Calvin Ninh - Honey Blonde
