BrewCommune Meeting Notes
Meeting notes from September 20th, 2016 at Super Mex and Cantina in Huntington beach
18 in attendance
Discussed
HUGE thank you to Albert for hosting this meeting at the Super Mex!
Confab this past month was at Valiant Brewing in Orange, and had a great turnout.
Hussam took 2nd and 3rd at the LA Fair and Greg took 1st and 2nd at an Ohio Homebew Competition.
Bran Nixon has posted up in the forums about spots for this coming years' Homebrew Festival. If you are in need of reserving a spot, please make sure to post up!
Style Presentation
Sam started our style presentation. I did not capture the specific category he had focused on in my notes regrettably. Three examples that he presented and talked about where:
ABK – Hell 'Das Blaue'
Weihenstephaner – Festbier
Gordon Biersch – Blonde Bock (Mai Bock)
Homebrews Shared
Here is what was passed around and that was logged into the sign in sheet. If you were missed, please ensure you fill out the sheet when you arrive at the meeting!
American IPA - Greg
English IPA - Greg
Hoppy Pilsner - Sam
Festbier – Brian
English Barleywine – Distinguished Tim
