Holiday Beer Exchange

Post by Mosaic1492 »

One of the first club events that I participated in years ago (outside of a club meeting) was a beer exchange that took place around Thanksgiving, but certainly before Christmas. Everyone brought something like 2 six packs and then you left with a mix of 12 different beers. Plus people hung around, ate food, shared other beer. It was a good time. We did it several times.

Is there any interest in doing that this year? I could host it at my place in Fullerton.

Just polling the club on this topic. Thanks.

Hey guys. Holiday beer exchange/Advent Calendar is happening this Sunday, November 28th at Bob's place in Fullerton. You'll need to bring 24 beers, (NOT HOMEBREW. Commercial Beers Only.) This should be broken down into any of the following configurations:

One case of 24 (Same beer)
2 twelve packs (2 different beers)
4 six packs (4 different beers)
6 four packs (6 different beers)

You will go home with 24 different, (mostly), beers.

We usually do this event on the early side of Sunday so people can get back to the last day of their long weekend. Plan to start at 9 AM. If you'd like to bring a potluck item that would be fantastic.

So far we have the following individuals coming:
Abe
Bob
Greg
Tim
Calvin
Justin x3
Jim W
Kyle

If you would like to participate and are a BrewCommune member please comment to this thread and I'll add you to the list.

Do we all have enough Sierra Nevada Celebration and Anchor's Merry Christmas ale? I know I do. Ha, just asking.

Please don’t bring one case of the same beer. 2 different beers, 12 cans/bottles each) is ideal.
