I have another event earlier so I can't make it by 6:30 but I plan to come late. I'll bring some homebrew.

It is here + my notes. Share your recipes here. Everything is bought from Windsor. Great time to everyone for sharing. Thanks GameCraft.

Steep these grains at room temp 5.25 gal of RO water. Heat up to 150 deg F. Remove grains. This steam lasted `30 min for me from when steeping started.
1 lb roasted
4 oz special roast
8 oz Kiln Coffee
4 oz chocolate rye

Then, heat water to boil. During that time, add:
3.3 lb LME Breiss Golden Light (1 container)
5 lb DME Breiss Golden Light

Boil schedule:
1st wort Nugget hops (14.2% aa)
15 min Hallertau Mittelfrüh (5.4% aa)
10 min Hallertau Mittelfrüh (5.4% aa)

Also add yeast nutrients, Irish moss, & copper coils.

Yeast is WLP1983 Charlie's Fist Bump https://www.whitelabs.com/yeast-single? ... type=YEAST

OG = 1.066
FG = 1.010
est ABV = 7.4%

Overall:
It is a bit smooth for an American Stout. Members tonight liked it for that. I would like a bit more astringency.
Hops are just there for bitterness and cleaning out my freezer. If I were to dry hop, use resinous an earthy hops for aroma.

Calvin - I tried to translate your recipe to Brewfather, does this look right?

The vitals are pretty wild.

Nope. Looks weird.

Overall, it's an American stout that was smoothed out by adding the dark grains to a slowly heated pot of water. Then, add in malt extract.

Hops can change. Just use a high bittering (magnum, CTZ, millennium, ect). Other hops were minor bitterness and a bit of aroma for me.

Grav is a bit high on Brewfather. Is there an extract setting?

Super helpful, thank you! I have it set up for the Brewzilla 35L, I'm not sure if it is factoring a more aggressive boil off rate maybe? If I lower the DME to compensate it brings the vitals more in line with your recipe. :think:
