What's your favorite Belgian beer?

Could it be Budweiser?
Anheuser-Busch board to weigh InBev offer

Anheuser-Busch Cos. says Belgium-based brewer InBev has offered to buy the company for roughly $46 billion.

Anheuser-Busch says the offer is an unsolicited, nonbinding proposal. But shareholders might be eager to approve the deal. The purchase price works out to $65 per share for Anheuser-Busch, a steep premium over the company's share price of $58.35 Wednesday afternoon.

Anheuser-Busch says its board of directors will evaluate the proposal, but the company didn't give its timetable for making a decision.

MMMMMMMMMMMM, Can't wait for Budgium beer's or Belweisier, or Natgium, or Limegium. Ucky, do you wonder why the stock fell so much when a gallon of gas cost's more than a gallon of beer or milk now? Hmm, maybe O'bama will help lower the beer pricing?
Cheers,
Lyn

Not to hijack the thread, but you are the second person today to mention that prices will drop with Obama. the one I heard earlier was in relation to gas prices. I don't get it.

I don't know anything about Obama and gas prices. All politicians are liars, so I don't even pay attention any more.

What I do know is that InBev already brews Bud in Canada under license from AB. InBev brews Canadian Bud at InBev's Labatt brewery.

InBev's holdings already include Spaten, Hoegaarden, Bass, Lowenbrau, St. Pauli Girl, Alexander Keith's, and Brahma (the largest selling beer in South America). It seems that they are bent on world beer domination. I find this to be much more interesting than politics and gas prices.

Great, now o'bama won't need to walk on water or lower prices, we'll still get the same macro-swill but with piss in it.

Lyn

Yeah, it sucked big wampum.

BTW, Welcome Stark!

Are you going to judge/steward at IEB's comp. this weekend?
If not, it's a great way to meet local and not so local brewers and have a great time.

It's at Main Street brewery (Lampost pizza) off Main St. and the 91 on Sat/sun this week.

check out www.hopheads.com for more info.

Hope to hear more from you in the future.
Cheers,
Lyn
