yeast ?'s
So i was brewing and making a starter at the same time the beer I was brewing was in the sink cooling and icracked the yeast for the starter. It poped and flung some yeast into the wort. The yeast that I pitch should dominate it as long as here is more cells right?

Re: yeast ?'s
So if I understand. You were cooling one batch of beer and making a starter for the next batch of beer and the unintended yeast got into the just finished batch of beer?
That's bad. Really really bad. Go ahead and let that ferment out and keg it. I'll come by and pick it up to properly dispose of it.

A couple things come to mind. When you are cooling your wort, keep it covered so no nastys get in there. If you are making a starter from a liquid yeast vial, you should really do that the day before you brew so the yeast have a chance to get going. With that being said, you should be fine and there is not much you can do about it now anyway. Just wait and see how it turns out.

I was making a starter for the batch I am going to brew on friday. The starter is bubbling good but thr beer still has no action. Hopefully it was just a slow vial of white labs.
