Scott Windsor, thanks for being a great host and accommodating our club gathering.
Your support and furtherance of our endeavors is appreciated as Jon mentioned at the meeting.
Also, good job Sam.
And, we had some great beers!

Thanks for coming out everyone! I've had 3 major outages at work and its caused a pretty massive delay in getting the meeting notes up and for that I apologize. Hopefully this weekend or early next week!

Pretty funny meeting - you inspired me to join (as in, pay the dues!). Also inspired me to brew a wheat wine. +1 to Scott Windsor.

BrewCommune Meeting Notes
Meeting notes from May 17, 2016 at Windsor Homebrew Supply Co in Costa Mesa
18 in attendance
Discussed
April 21st was the Club Social/Confab at Phantom Ales in Anaheim.
April 24th was the Taste of Huntington Beach. For the second year in a row, Brewcommune has performed judging duties at Taste. Tim S, Tim R, Chris, Derrin, Brent and Jon were all present for judging,
April 29 & 30th Southern California Homebrew Festival. Around 20 beers were served by the club at this festival. A great time was had by all!
May Social/Confab is to be determined. Pay close attention to the forums for details.
May Club Brewday is being hosted by Tim S. Details should be posted in the forums.
June 11th is the OC Brewers Guild Festival. The club has been invited to pour our beers at the festival. Details are still forthcoming and will be posted when they are recevied.
Style Presentation
Sam started our style presentation which was on Category 22 – Strong American Ales . Examples of this style were:
(Pliney the Elder - Broke bottle before checkout. Hell yeah -Editors Note).
Port Brewing – Mongo Double IPA
Stone Brewing – Arrogant Bastard
Sierra Nevada - Bigfoot
Another example would be Wheat Wine, but no examples could be procured.
Homebrews Shared
Here is what was passed around and that was logged into the (missing this time...my bad!) sign in sheet. If you were missed, please ensure you fill out the sheet when you arrive at the meeting!
•Standard American Lager – Brad N
•Blueberry Weizbock – Tim S
•Coconut Stout – Jon (MrPlow)
•Peach Blonde - Brandon
