Hops Growing 101 Class

Post by bman100 »

I'm a newbie to the club, but thought I'd mention an interesting class next week. My brother and I are attending a hops growing class next Monday. Here's a link to the class: http://www.thehomebrewersd.com/events/

Here's the info:
April 18 @ 6 - 8:00 pm
The Homebrewer, 2911 El Cajon Blvd Ste 2, San Diego, CA 92104

It costs $30 for the class, but I think that’s a bargain – especially since he provides some rhizomes (depending on availability). There’s another class on 4/25 as well.

By the way, here is the instructor Sean's post: http://www.chillindamos.com/ He does some crazy complex stuff.

Best, Brian Bauer

Fun bit of trivia: Sean is one of the founders of BrewCommune, but hasn't been involved in this site for more than 10 years.

Thanks for the post.

That's great stuff - I'll have to bring that up with him when I'm down south. He must have lived in the OC back then.

I heard him give a talk at NHC last summer... lots of great tidbits on hop growing, and he has quite an operation in Escondido (I believe that was it..).

Cool! You will have a good time!
