Honey supplier

Post by lexuschris »

Hey all,

I'm going to be getting back to some mead making this year. I really enjoyed sharing my last few bottles with the club, and I'm all out!

I ordered a 10# bucket of blueberry honey from Crystal's Honey, and their free shipping had it here within 10 days. Tomorrow, I'll use it for a 2 gallon batch of semi-sweet mead using D-47 wine yeast. I'll try to post up some process notes in the recipe section afterwards.

If you are looking for bulk honey with some different varietals, check them out.

Thanks for the tip Chris.

Any changes in your standard mead making procedure than previously?
I wonder if there are any new techniques that popped up recently.

Looking forward to your process notes!

I'm going to stick to what worked before.. namely, Oskaar's mead making instructions from 2010 Club Mead Brew Day.

I'm doing this first one on a smaller scale (2.5gal) so I can remember all the stuff I forgot.

So far, only minor missteps, but I got it fermenting in my closet as we speak! So we are on our way!
