Ok, I bought this at the swap meet for $10! Then I realized that it only has internal threads, and my BBQ and turkey fryer (beer stand) take the external threads.
Is this tank of any use for me, or should I just trade it in at Home Depot? Can I use the gas somehow before I trade it in?
Propane tank, the old style. Useful at all?

You should get rid of it. It doesn't have an OPD valve and places are not suppose to refill it.

1) Take propane tank to desert.
2) Light fire 5 feet in front of tank and move 50 away.
3) Fire .223" or 7.62mm round into tank.
4) Roast marshmallows.

Tim, I have 3 suggestions to your instructions:maltbarley wrote:1) Take propane tank to desert.

3) Fire .223" or 7.62mm round into tank.
4) Roast marshmallows.
1) Add: and find the middle of a dry lake bed.
2) I find a lit road flare is easier to work with than trying to construct the fire.
5) (This is a new suggestion post 9/11) Prepare to relocate camp several miles away.
