I've heard that a Randall (Hop Rocket) imparts more a grassy flavor than a great hop aroma. But that coulsd have been the hops used. Interesting device though, looks like it would be nicer in all tri clover ....

I should add that that was an opinion of someone who used it as a serving Randall, not as a pre-fermentation hop-back.

Using it as a hopback might be a good way to infuse some extra hop character. I've only had beer from a randall once and I really don't have any interest in trying it again.
