Come on Santa!

Post by backyard brewer »

I've asked Santa for some 100qt kettles for Christmas. I don't think Santa will bring them though.

I noticed B3 no longer has the "Italian" kettles on their site but has what looks like the "heavy duty" kettles Northern Brewer has.

These are the ones I put on my Santa list:

Nice! Is that for doing a monster mash? I'm guessing at 40lbs dry, you'll be scooping the spent grains out of it.

Since I brew with a buddy and we always split the beer, I find myself out more often than not. I also find that my kegs go dry right as they are coming into their own. Since I have enough cold storage space to store 18 cornies I'd like to up production.

So Santa is hopefully bringing me 3 of them for a new sculpture altogether.

Santa confirmed the kettles ... Whoo hoo!

I decided on the new 26 gallon B3 kettles instead. With our discount, they are like $20 more each, but thicker bottoms, 1 gal more capacity and I don't have to ship them.

Hey Derrin, check these out. A bit more expensive but already set up for brewing!
