What size metal?
For those of you that just built a Brutus type stand, what size metal did you choose? It looks like most people are choosing 2" square, but are you using .120 wall or .083 wall? If you built it out of .120, now that it's done do you still think you need the heavier material or do you think .083 would have been fine? I noticed B3 uses 1.5 X 2" rectangle. Is there a reason you guys chose not to go with the narrower profile material?
Just an FYI ... I've had to fabricate some wrought iron fencing as a part of my backyard remodel (need to bring the enclosing fences up to code). To do that, I cut 2 six foot existing panels down to 16 inch panels .. this left me with 4 panels that needed bottom rail welded on. I bought .065 1 by 1.5 rectangle tube (which BTW was half the price of the .125) and my MIG welded it up quite nicely (at relatively low power settings). My caliper indicated that the rest of the fence was .080 and I went seeking that but after I got the .065, it was plenty stout. I agree that the .065 should be fine for the stand. Depending on what you buy, you could intermix 2x with rectangular ... (2x for legs and maybe tops, 2x1 for bracing etc.) I don't think that there will be a huge monetary savings or strength differential and certainly having all the same sized material makes layout and assembly easier (especially if corners are mitered).
Just my 0.02.

Beer or racecar?
I painted mine red, white and blue so my advice is if it's close to hot or burner, paint it red (hot) with engine paint.
Otherwise, be artistic! I've not seen a zebra stand yet! or you do brewcommune color's!
